Switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data during a call is not supported.
If you move out of a Wi-Fi zone while you are on a Fongo call, your device loses its network connection and the call drops. Your device will automatically switch to cellular data and you can make or receive calls again. If you know you will be moving out of Wi-Fi during the call, turn off Wi-Fi in your device settings before the call starts. This way, you will start your Fongo call on cellular data and the call will continue on cellular data as you move out of the Wi-Fi area.
If you are on a Fongo call on cellular data and move to into a known Wi-Fi network (one that you've logged into before and your device will automatically connect to:
- with an Apple device, the call will drop. Tap on the Wi-Fi button in the Control Centre to stop your device from automatically connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
- With an Android device, your call will remain active and the device will switch to the known Wi-Fi network once your Fongo call ends.
